Making a will

Making a Will is one way of being sure that your money and possessions will be distributed as you wish after your death. In certain cases if you do not leave a Will the results can be disastrous for your family or close partner and your money may not end up where you would have wished, whether you have a large estate or not it is important that your last wishes be noted in writing.

How do I make a will?

John Henderson & Sons LLP can guide you through the very simple procedures involved with making a will. We will take your instructions, at home if necessary, and prepare a specific Will that meets your needs and wishes. In many cases it will only take a five or ten minute meeting to ascertain your wishes and the rest can be left to us. John Henderson & Sons LLP will also advise you whether inheritance tax is a matter to be considered. There are a number of steps which can be taken to reduce tax liability and in appropriate cases inheritance tax planning can save substantial sums of money. The cost of making a Will is generally not that great. John or Sharon will be pleased to give you a quotation on request.
